Plus Approach Foundation inaugurates Two new Remedial Schools at Gadsari & Naula
It has been observed
That students living remote villages of Uttrakhand of class 5 are not able to read & write in Hindi or English and their mathematical skill is also poor. These students when promoted to next classes are not able to cope up the pressure and drop out from the schools after 10th or 12th. They are not able to clear any competitive examination due to their poor foundation of primary education. Plus Approach Foundation has decided to train these students in basic reading, writing, speaking, maths, science, GK and create interest in studies so as to prepare them for admission in Navodaya Vidyalaya in 6th standard.
The first Remedial School
“Yes I Can Academy” was opened at Matila in 2021 where more than 50 students from class-1 to 8 are getting quality education to further strengthen their fundamentals. Considering the request of other nearby villages, PAF has decided to open more centers in the area.
Inaugurated at Gadasari & Naula
It is our pleasure to inform that today on 07.03.2024, two new Remedial Centers were inaugurated at Gadasari & Naula and third school is planned at Soori from next week. Today’s inauguration ceremony was attended by villagers, parents of children and other school teachers of the area.
We convey our sincere gratitude and thanks to the sponsors who supported this initiative and request others to donate for opening more such remedial schools in the area. The financial support for opening one remedial school is Rs 1 Lac per year where around 25-30 poor children of the weakest section of the society are getting benefitted.
